Be all you can be in the Army!

Well after a long week Jason is finally enlisted in the Army. Well for those of you that didn't know Jason decided to join the army and go to collage to be a physical therapists.and this past week has been hell, he has had to cut out all carbs and sugars, and workout 2x day for min of 2 hrs each time. All his hard work paid off and now he is Private Jewell. He leaves 10/09/08 for BCT for 9 weeks, then he will be home for Christmas and New Years, and then he leaves again for AIT for 16 weeks! Now tell me how much that sucks, we didn't know that he would have to go away for AIT we thought it would be around here but they decided to send him to Texas. I know that it is going to be rough but i know that this is what he wants so i will support him through it. All in all i am proud of Jason in finally deciding what he wants to do with his life!

The Roberts-Erickson wedding!

Last week on 08/08/08 Jasons mom, Patty and Jim got married. It was a wedding that we all had thought would never come. I was their wedding planner. It was alot of work but it was all worth it in the end! The wedding was beautiful Patty looked spectacular, and Jim was very handsome.My hubby and litteman were looking good as well. I was also the photographer thanks to patty and jim for my b-day gift.

They got married at the Stake Center in Germantown.

DC Temple

These pictures are actually from the beginning of the summer. We decided to go to the temple one day after church. It was Ikys 1st time. We drive by it everyday back and forth to work but he always thought that it was the castle at Disney world. So since he had just talked about temples in church we thought it would be a good idea to go visit one, since we are Lucky to have one so close.

Weekend at the river!!

This past weekend we went up to West Virginia to visit with Jason's Grandfather who came up from Tennessee. We had a cookout at Patti's camper near the Potomac River. We had a blast hang out with Jason's Uncle Mark and his wife Angie, and their 2 boys that are Ikys age Cody and Colby. It was a weekend full of food and fun in the sun.

Iky had a sleep over with his mawmaw( Jason's mom Patti) the weekend before . she took on all 3 boys. she is a brave woman. and here is iky helping to cook on the small grill.

Ocean City vacation

So we went to Ocean city 2 weeks ago for a week and it was our 1st family vacation with Jasons family and we had a great time . It was a week to remember.We came to realize that Iky is not a beach bum he will only go to the beach if there is no wind cause the sand hurts him and he wont go in the water cause there are sharks in there and he swears he felt one touch him when we took him in! lol So we ended up taking him the Jolly Roger Water park where he had a blast in the 5 pools they had. I think the only thing Iky liked about the beach was the endless supply of ice cream he got to eat. Jason an i got to go out for date thanks to Patty and Jim who watched Iky for us. It was hard to come back to work after have a very relaxing week.

we ended up buying a baby pool to take to the beach so he could have something to play in.But in the end this was Ikys favorite part of the vacation the water park!
